A Door Lock System is a group of mechanical or electronic components that keeps a door closed and controls who may open it. A complete system can include a handle, spindle, latch, Mortise Lock body, deadbolt, cylinder, strike plate and fixing parts. Smart systems add electronic credentials, a motor and control module. Buyers working with a wholesale supplier of complete door lock systems should confirm how these components interact instead of evaluating the visible handle alone.
The exact components depend on the door and required security function, but most systems use several of the following parts.
The handle is the part touched by the user. When a lever handle is pressed, it rotates a square spindle passing through the lock body.
That movement retracts the latch bolt so the door can open. The handle does not necessarily provide locking security by itself.
The spring-loaded latch holds the door in its normally closed position. Its beveled edge moves inward when it contacts the strike plate and then extends into the strike opening.
A latch is intended for daily closing. It should not automatically be treated as a substitute for a deadbolt.
The lock body contains the internal mechanism linking the handle, latch, bolt, cylinder and thumbturn. A mortise lock body is installed in a rectangular pocket cut into the edge of the door.
Our mortise lock range includes European latch locks, roller-latch locks, Narrow Mortise Locks and sliding-door claw locks. The correct model depends on the door profile and operating function.
The cylinder reads the mechanical key and transfers its rotation to the lock body. Euro-profile cylinders are available in different lengths because the cylinder must match the door and escutcheon thickness.
A Euro cylinder with thumbturn permits key operation from outside and manual locking or unlocking from inside. Emergency-egress and local safety requirements should be checked before selecting a cylinder arrangement.
A deadbolt extends into the frame to provide stronger resistance than a spring latch. The strike plate receives the latch or bolt and distributes force into the frame.
Even a well-made lock may operate poorly when the strike is misaligned or fixed into a weak frame. Door, frame and hardware must therefore be assessed together.
Pressing the handle rotates the spindle and retracts the latch. Releasing the handle allows an internal spring to return the latch to its extended position.
When the key turns inside the cylinder, the cylinder cam operates the locking mechanism. Depending on the lock function, this can extend a deadbolt, block the handle or prevent the latch from retracting.
The backset, center distance, spindle size and cylinder position must agree with the handle and door preparation. A wholesale supplier of complete door lock systems needs these measurements before confirming a coordinated hardware set.
A smart door lock replaces or controls part of the conventional key operation through electronic authorization. Depending on the model, access may be granted by:
fingerprint;
numerical password;
RFID card;
mobile application;
facial recognition;
mechanical emergency key.
After a valid credential is recognized, the control module activates a motor or clutch. This enables the bolt or lock body to move. Invalid attempts may be rejected or recorded, depending on the product configuration.
Our smart door lock collection includes fingerprint, keypad, Wi-Fi and face-recognition options. Available functions vary by model and should be confirmed for each order.
Lock selection begins with the door rather than the preferred access method. Buyers should provide:
door material;
door thickness;
opening direction;
existing cutout;
backset and center distance;
required latch and bolt function;
interior or exterior use;
expected operating frequency;
applicable testing requirements.
A smart front panel cannot correct an incompatible lock body. Likewise, a suitable mortise lock may still fail to close smoothly if the door has dropped on its hinges or the strike position is wrong.
We have manufactured door and architectural hardware since 1993. Our product range covers smart locks, mortise locks, cylinders, stainless steel handles, hinges, flush bolts and related accessories.
Our equipment includes CNC-controlled lathes, digital milling machines, spark-erosion machines, forming equipment and high-frequency welding machinery. We also provide OEM/ODM support for door factories, developers, hotels, public buildings and commercial projects.
Send us the door drawing, thickness, lock function, access method, backset, finish and quantity. We can review the handle, lock body, cylinder and accessories as one system. To obtain pricing from our wholesale supplier of complete door lock systems, click here to submit your lock schedule.
